Yunus Musah: “The fans help us a lot and it is an important factor”

Yunus Musah returned to action as he had a few minutes under his belt last Friday against CA Osasuna after recovering from a muscle complaint that saw him miss the games against RC Celta and RCD Espanyol through injury.  

 The US international is one of the standout players in the opening games of season, he shared his thoughts ahead of the home game against Elche CF.  

Away win in Pamplona 

The team is feeling good after winning an away match after a long time. They nearly equalise at the end and we want to improve that aspect, but it was a good performance and we are happy.      

We are looking forward to Saturday with full attention. We don’t want to drop our standards we want to keep the run going. Elche CF is not an easy team to beat, but we have to outmatch their intensity.      

Communication to improve  

The team is united. We always talk about how we can improve and we believe in what we are doing.  

 Significant help  

We’ve had many good games thanks to the fans, they are the best fans, the way they are behind the team, the fans help us a lot and it is an important factor. 

Overcoming the muscle complaint  

I’m feeling better. I was happy to get minutes and I was happy for being able to feature.

Brimming with confidence  

love playing as part of this group. It helps me a lot and I've been a starter many times this season. The way we started the season has given me a lot of confidence and the coach has been helping me a lot. A player is at his best when he has confidence. 

Comfortable in midfield  

I played in midfield most of the time at the VCF Academy. I debuted in different positions because I had to take up the opportunity, but I like to play in midfield better.    

Learning from Gattuso  

He's very passionate about football and is always thinking about it. He wants to transmit this to the players. We're always looking to improve. 

It's a good time for me. I want to continue doing the same things and keep listening to the coach. 

Mestalla Factor 

We're going to need the fans again this Saturday. We love to have Mestalla full, with the fans spurring us on. You enjoy games much more like that. We can't wait to see them on Saturday.
